Find three prices of formulaic language so far. Explains how you feel these would be helpful when singing or speaking the odyssey.

When thinking of the formulaic language I've seen. the three I feel most impact the way you would sing or speak the odyssey would be: owl eyed Athena, God like Odysseus, and posaiden earth shaker.
Owl eyed athen I feel would give an audience a good idea of how wise she is and how she can inipulate characters. God like Odysseus would speak of the feats of Odysseus in his life and how "God like" they were. Posaiden earth shaker I feel best represents his control of the sees and all he can do with that power. He was able to keep Odysseus from escaping his hold with calypso. as well as trying to drown him at sea once he does.

What role has Penelope played in the book so far?

Penelope is telemachuses mother and the wife of Odysseuses wife. It has been some twenty years since he left. Some of the people in Ithaca known as 'the suitors' pursue Penelope thinking that Odysseus is dead. Penelope has not been arranged to marriage yet and it seems as if she does not want to. She has been seen trying to delay and trick the suitors. "Young men-my suitors, since Odysseus is dead- eager as you are to marry me, you must wait until I finish this robe." Later on she is seen unweaving this very same robe in the night after she would weave all day. She was doing this to delay the suitors and stall. With Odysseuses new quest to find answers about his father maybe there is knew hope in Penelope's heart that her husband is still alive.

Throughout my reading of the life of Frederick Douglass what really interested me was unjust in the court system. It was not surprising to me to see that slaves were not given fair treatment under law. The slaves were not treated as people but as property. How could the people in that time treat slaves the same as cows. I believe twice in this book we see examples of this. Very early in the book a slave named dimbe is shot. There was some investigation on the murder, but not to convict his murderer, but to see just why he did it. And again later when Frederick is beaten on the ship yard.
