how is education related to human freedom?

we begin our education very young. education plays a fundamental part in our everyday lives as human beings. without them it would almost be impossible for us to survive and provide. these slaves never had that education and even if they ever escaped or were freed they would not have that same education to survive. Fredrick douglass when he was young bean to educate himself and learn how to read and write. this education led him on his path towards escaping. in someways you can never be truly free without education.
